Allen Black -
Allen Black is a graduate of Freed-Hardeman, Harding, Harding Graduate School, and Emory University. He is Professor of New Testament at Harding's Graduate School of Religion where he has been since 1983. He has written two commentaries for the College Press NIV New Testament Commentary series: one on the Gospel of Mark and one on 1 Peter. Allen also works for the Highland St. church in Memphis. Allen and his wife Nancy have two daughters: Amy and Stacey.

Jeff writes of himself: "I taught Theatre at Abilene Christian University from 1990-1996, and moved to Seattle in May of that year. Since then, I have been writing and performing, mostly one-man shows. I've done a small amount of commercial work, though I am no longer actively pursuing it. By God's grace, along the way, I wrote a novel was published about a year ago, and Leaving Ruin continues to sell. I didn't really set out to do a novel, and yet ... here we are."

Tony Campolo -
Tony Campolo is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at Eastern University in St. Davids, Pennsylvania. Lee Camp is professor of Christian Ethics at Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tennessee. In addition to serving as faculty member in the College of Bible and Ministry, he is a Senior Faculty Fellow in the Center for International Peace and Justice at Lipscomb University. Lee has previously served as the pulpit minister for the Donelson Church of Christ in Nashville, and as youth minister for the Donmoyer Avenue Church of Christ in South Bend, Indiana. Mike is partnered with Landon Saunders in the HeartBeat ministry. For many years, he was the preaching minister for the Highland Church of Christ in Abilene, Texas. He and his wife Diane have two sons, Matt and Chris; their daughter Megan perished at age nine. Chris survived an automobile accident, with serious injuries, in 2004. Ron Clark -
Ron Clark, D. Min., leads a church plant - Agape Church - on the west side of Portland, Oregon. He has served as president of Portland’s Community Against Domestic Violence (CADV) and directs their ongoing Clergy Abuse Workshop training program. He has led training seminars on relationship abuse for ministers, law enforcement organizations, and faith communities. He has recently been appointed to the Oregon Attorney General's Sexual Assault Task force to represent faith communities. Ron earned his undergraduate degrees from Central Missouri State University and his Masters of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Harding University Graduate School of Religion. He is a member of the Society of Biblical Literature and has published articles on as abuse, theology, ministry, Hebrew textual, and Greek textual studies in a number of theological and counseling journals. Edward Fudge presently practices law with the Houston firm of The Lanier Law Firm, P.C. His mother's family were missionaries in southern Africa from the 1920s, and she was born and reared in what are now Zambia and Zimbabwe. Her parents were Will and Delia Short, and their story and hers are told in brief in Edward's book, The Sound of His Voice. His father was Bennie Lee Fudge, a Christian publisher and preacher who influenced a generation of believers in Churches of Christ and Christian Churches through his "Use Your Bible" workbooks for Sunday Schools. Doug Foster -
Dr. Doug Foster is a Professor of Church History in the Graduate School of Theology at Abilene Christian University, Abilene, Texas. In addition to teaching, he is also the Director of the Center for Restoration Studies at the University. Dr. Foster's scholarly work has concentrated on the place of the Stone-Campbell Movement in American Christianity and the nature of the idea of Christian unity. His book Will the Cycle Be Unbroken? Churches of Christ Face the 21st Century analyzes the current and future shape of Churches of Christ. Other works include Crux of the Matter: Crisis, Tradition, and the Future of Churches of Christ (ACU Press, 2000) and Seeking a Lasting City: The Church's Journey in the Story of God (ACU Press, 2005). David Fleer -
Vice President for Church Relations and Professor of Religion and Communication at Rochester College where he develops and nurtures the college’s relationships in Churches of Christ and its broader constituencies.
Fleer created, directs, and hosts the Rochester Sermon Seminar which annually draws over 200 attendees from more than 30 states and provinces and 20 Christian fellowships.
He created the committee, and helped craft the vision, and now works with the Director of Diversity, JC Thomas, Jr., to stimulate essential dialogue and cooperative ministry programs for racial diversity amongst African American and Caucasian Christians in the racially segregated Detroit metropolitan area.
David and Mae, Fleer’s wife of 30 years, have three sons: Josh (27) who is completing two MAs in Journalism and Religion from Pepperdine University, Luke (25) who earned a BA in Psychology from Rochester College and now works as recruiter for the college, and Nate (15) is a high school sophomore, active in theatre.
The family shares common hobbies, including collecting license plates, visiting major league baseball stadiums, enjoying Midwest cities, and recreational exercise.

Marnie C. Ferree -
Marnie is employed full-time by the Woodmont Hills Church, which is the sponsor of Bethesda Workshops. Marnie began the ministry through Woodmont Hills in 1997 with the first workshop for female sex addicts, and today she is regarded as a national leader within both the clinical and Christian communities, especially in the area of women's sexual addiction. Marnie is a frequent presenter at professional, recovery, and church conferences. Marnie's book about female sexual addiction, No Stones: Women Redeemed from Sexual Shame, is the first Christian book on the subject by a woman personally in recovery. Anne-Geri' Fann -
Anne-Geri’ (“Angie”) and her extremely cool husband David love laughing with friends so hard that beverage comes out of their noses. Her mission experience extends from her birthplace of New Zealand to all over the world, but her primary work is in Honduras where she has co-directed youth camps and lead short-term mission teams for almost 20 years. She has written a book about short-term mission work to be published April 2006. She is a little bit of a hippie who enjoys her large organic garden and a good cup of hot tea after a hearty hike in the mountains. Her favourite animal is the donkey because when it brays it reminds her that even on her best day as a human being she sounds pretty ridiculous compared to her great God. Angie is a High School Spanish teacher and often teaches Religion courses on the university level. She is fluent in Spanish and dangerous in German, but her Klingon is hopeless. Randy Gill -
Randy Gill is worship minister for the Woodmont Hills Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee. Before moving to Nashville to work with Woodmont Hills in the fall of 1997, Randy taught music and served as Associate Director of Church Relations at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California. He is a graduate of Harding University and the University of Michigan and holds a doctorate in choral and church music from the University of Southern California. Albert Haley is writer-in-residence and assistant professor of English at Abilene Christian University. He is also a novelist, short story writer and poet whose work has been published in national journals including The New Yorker and The Atlantic Monthly. Eric Quiram - Eric Quiram is the author of the writings about Christ, community, culture, and you that you can read when you click the four photos on the top of our Web site. He is a songwriter who has served in varying capacities in the Nashville music business, producing children's albums, working closely with the country and contemporary Christian industries, and penning songs both under contract and on his own.
Rubel Shelly -
Rubel Shelly preached for the Family of God at Woodmont Hills in Nashville, Tennessee, from 1978-2005. During that time he also taught at Lipscomb University and Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. He holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University, and is the author or co-author of many books, including The Jesus Community: A Theology of Relational Faith and The Second Incarnation. He presently lives in the Greater Detroit area where he teaches philosophy and religion at Rochester College. He is known as a community leader in Nashville and has served with such groups as the AIDS Education Committee of the American Red Cross, a medical relief project to an 1100-bed children's hospital in Moscow called "From Nashville With Love," and "Seeds of Kindness."
He is the author of more than 20 books, including several which have been translated into languages such as Korean, Japanese, Portuguese, Italian, French, and Russian. He has published widely in religious journals. He is co-editor with Mike Cope of the online magazine New Wineskins. Greg Taylor is Senior Editor of New Wineskins. He is also lead minister for the Garnett Church of Christ in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His newest book, co-authored with Anne-Geri’ Fann, How to Get Ready for Short-Term Missions, was released by Thomas Nelson in May 2006. His novel is titled High Places (Leafwood, 2004). Fleer created, directs, and hosts the Rochester Sermon Seminar which annually draws over 200 attendees from more than 30 states and provinces and 20 Christian fellowships.
He created the committee, and helped craft the vision, and now works with the Director of Diversity, JC Thomas, Jr., to stimulate essential dialogue and cooperative ministry programs for racial diversity amongst African American and Caucasian Christians in the racially segregated Detroit metropolitan area.
David and Mae, Fleer’s wife of 30 years, have three sons: Josh (27) who is completing two MAs in Journalism and Religion from Pepperdine University, Luke (25) who earned a BA in Psychology from Rochester College and now works as recruiter for the college, and Nate (15) is a high school sophomore, active in theatre.
The family shares common hobbies, including collecting license plates, visiting major league baseball stadiums, enjoying Midwest cities, and recreational exercise.

Shelly has lectured on Christian apologetics, ethics, and medical ethics on university campuses across America and in several foreign countries. He has done short-term mission work in such places as Kenya, the Czech Republic, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Russia.
