New Wineskins online magazine is for the spiritual seeker interested in broadening the understanding of contemporary culture and learning as impacted by issues of faith from the Judeo/Christian perspective. Founded in 1992, Wineskins was a print-only magazine produced by a group of editor/publishers; in 2001, The ZOE Group, Inc. assumed a ministry supervisory role. New Wineskins magazine was published by the ZOE Group, Inc. through 2010, and was published online only from 2003 through the present.

Most of the magazine's editorial staff and freelance writers have roots in the Restoration movement, including the churches of Christ and Christian Church. That heritage continues to be honored as vital while challenging traditional church assumptions by freshly approaching scripture again and again.

The magazine's readership and contributors have been, for all these years, Christians seeking to honor Jesus Christ in their lives, believing that "We are Christians only but not the only Christians."
